Small or Big Wedding in Los Angeles?

Are you debating between a small of big wedding in Los Angeles? Whether you're having an extravagant ceremony with 500 guests or an intimate backyard wedding, there are pros and cons to the amount of attendees.

Let’s first take a look at larger weddings. If your plan is for a big wedding, there’s no reason to agonize over whether to invite your second-cousin you don’t see that often or that sorority sister you haven’t spoken to in a few months. You can make everyone happy, but it doesn't come without a cost. Guests equal money - so make sure you have room in your budget to feed and host all your wonderful guests!

It’s obvious that the more people invited, the more gifts you’ll receive. If you’re just moving into a new place or are getting married young, odds are you may need a few things. The more people invited to your wedding, the better your chances of receiving many of the little necessities that can start to add up if purchased on your own.

One huge piece of advice, if you're going for a big wedding, you're going to need lots of help. Don’t skip out on a wedding planner to make sure everything runs smoothly.

All in all, the more the merrier. You will definitely have a day to remember having everyone you love in one place!

Now let's talk about small weddings, or “intimate” weddings as they are called. The immediate pro? You'll be saving some cash. The planning will ultimately be a lot easier, and you will get to spend more time with each guest as opposed to running around making sure everyone got some time.

We share with you the top 3 tips on how to budget for your Los Angeles wedding! Weddings can be expensive and we all can use a little help from someone that have planned hundreds, so what are these top 3 tips for saving money on your wedding, you ask?

Don’t be afraid to ask for a custom quote. Many wedding vendors will have the cookie cutter packages to present you when you inquire. However, all weddings and client’s needs are so different. The presented package that you are offered might look similar to what you may need but doesn’t quite fit the bill. Ask the vendor to see if they have wiggle room to replace or remove a service for a custom or negotiated quote.
Shop around! Like A LOT! Do we ever go visit the first home and say, “YES, I’ll buy this house!” No, we don’t and we shouldn’t! Take a look at at least 2 or 3 different vendors from each category to see if you are the right fit (mentally, emotionally and financially) for each other. You’ll come to realize that you vibe with one the best. Wether you click mentally or financially, the vendor you choose will be worth the money spent for their services.
Elope or have a micro-wedding! There was never a time where you didn’t love that elopement or micro wedding picture you saw on instagram. That can be YOU! Obviously, the more people you invite to your wedding, the more it’ll cost. On average, a Los Angeles wedding will cost around $350-$800+ per person you invite. So imagine what your bottom line would look like if you had a micro wedding for 20 guests.
