The Different Types of Wedding Planners
Yay! You’re newly engaged and have started to look into the different types of wedding planners. Weddings are all about making many different choices. Choice in venue, the florals and all the way down to how you want your dinner napkins folded. The list is endless and your planner is there to assist with it all or just on some of the details you need help with.
After many years of experience we’ve narrowed down the three types of planners that are needed for weddings. Full, Partial and Day of planner or we like to call it our “here”, “there” and “everywhere” wedding packages.
Full-Time Planner (“everywhere”)
As your full time planner, we help you plan everything from start to finish for the wedding day. We help you manage your budget, create a minutes wedding day timeline, refer and hire vendors, assist with overall event design, and facilitate venue tours. However, our job doesn’t end there. As your full-time planners we help with your guest list, invitations, RSVPs, floor plans, rehearsals and day of on-site management. Our main purpose is to make sure we take the stress away from you so you can focus on what is most important: celebrating and enjoying your wedding day!
Why hire a full-time planner? Many have hired us because they have other obligations (such as their jobs) where they find themselves with limited time to plan their weddings. Others find the whole process overwhelming and would rather hand it off to someone that has the experience. A few have even hired us because they just need a second opinion from someone in the industry. Whatever the case, hiring a full time planner will take the edge off of any wedding planning pressure.
Partial Planner (“there”)
As your partial wedding planner, we offer all of the same expertise as the full-time planner—however only for certain parts of your choosing. Couples identify what the most important aspect is of their wedding to hand over to us. For example, many have asked us to take total control of rentals for their wedding. It can be a challenge on where and what to order for floor-plan set up if you’ve never done it before. For all other aspects you feel you can handle yourselves we can recommend and refer our top vendors. Over the many years in the industry, we’ve worked with and nurtured relationships with many “friendors”! We give you a list of trusted pros to potentially hire. You would do the inquiring, negotiating, contracting and managing these vendors. After your vendors are hired, you hand them over to us to ensure a successful day of execution.
Why hire a partial planner? A partial planner is perfect for those that have most of the wedding planning under control but could use help for some things. This option can be helpful for those that are looking for something a little more budget-friendly.
Day of Planner (“here”)
As your day of planner, we actually start working with you a month out! We feel the most amount of organization and coordination is required at the tail end of your wedding planning journey. From that month mark, we ask you to hand over all hired vendor contracts and contacts over so we can tie up all the loose ends. We will review all your vendor contracts, put together a minutes day of wedding timeline, organize all your vendor set up/load out times, help finalize your floor-plan and guest count, and lead the wedding rehearsal and wedding day execution.
Why hire a day of planner? You want to enjoy your wedding day! You’ve spent months planning your wedding and its now time to hand over all the details to someone that can carry out your beautiful plan on your big day. We make sure to execute your wedding day according to plans and troubleshoot any problems that might arise. At the end, we do all that is needed for you to forget all planning details so you can just celebrate with your loved ones.
