HOW MOMS PLAY A HUGE ROLE IN OUR WEDDING - PART 2

May 15, 2023 Christine S. Chang

In honor of Mothers day yesterday, we’re continuing our post of how our moms can play a big role in our weddings! Last week we talked about how many moms now take part in walking their daughter down the isle and help us get ready before the wedding.

One of the biggest moments our moms have in wedding, is during the mother-son dance. Its considered the last dance a mother has with her forever baby boy before he starts his new life building his new family.

Other cultures have different ways of honoring their moms in the wedding. In Korean culture, the bride and groom will bow to both mothers and give them a bouquet of flowers and a hug. This is the new couples way to say thank you to their mothers for raising them to this day.

Its great to see different ways of involving our parents in our big day and showing thanks in different ways, creating new traditions.

How Moms Play a Huge Role in our Wedding - Part 1

May 8, 2023 Christine S. Chang

With Mother’s day just a week away, we decided to do a 2 part blog post honoring our mom’s and their importance in our weddings. Lets start, with the ceremony~

Getting ready is a big part of the wedding process for the bride. The hair and make up, putting on that wedding dress, the first look and so much more. Its become a big part of wedding photos too because its filled with so much emotions that lead up to the bride’s grand entrance.

As a major support figure in most of our lives, its common to see mothers’s helping the bride get ready before the wedding. Most of the time, its helping the bride get into their wedding dress and making sure all the final touches are pure perfection or simply just being there doing what mom’s do best, providing that emotional support and sense of comfort through the roller coaster of emotions.

Traditions have also shifted, to honor our mother’s by walking down the aisle with the bride. Its no longer considered only a father’s duty to hand off their daughter in marriage but instead both the parents or even sometimes just the moms!

Next week, we’ll go over some other ways moms can play a huge role in our weddings. What are some ways you include your mom into your wedding?

Looking for a special way to honor your mom in your wedding? reach out to us below so we can get started on some ideas!

Mobile Paebaek Spreading Asian Awareness all across the US

May 1, 2023 Christine S. Chang

Today is the first day of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month, celebrating Asians and Pacific Islanders all across the United States. May was chosen because it commemorates the first Japanese immigration in 1843 and to honor the Chinese immigrants who finished building the transcontinental railroad in May of 1869.

So what better way to kick off AAPI month than to introduce our new mobile paebaek set! Just when you thought it couldnt be done, Christine did it. She recently flew to San Franciso with all of the Paebaek essentials to do our very first Paebaek outside of the Southern California region!

Of course it was a big learning experience trying to figure out how to move our delicate hand painted backdrop and all of the Paebaek necessities. But once it was done, we realized its totally doable and excited to share the modern Paebaek tradition all across the United States. Although we had to make some minor changes to accomodate the travel, the results were stunning.
