Today is the first day of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month, celebrating Asians and Pacific Islanders all across the United States. May was chosen because it commemorates the first Japanese immigration in 1843 and to honor the Chinese immigrants who finished building the transcontinental railroad in May of 1869.
So what better way to kick off AAPI month than to introduce our new mobile paebaek set! Just when you thought it couldnt be done, Christine did it. She recently flew to San Franciso with all of the Paebaek essentials to do our very first Paebaek outside of the Southern California region!
Of course it was a big learning experience trying to figure out how to move our delicate hand painted backdrop and all of the Paebaek necessities. But once it was done, we realized its totally doable and excited to share the modern Paebaek tradition all across the United States. Although we had to make some minor changes to accomodate the travel, the results were stunning.
