An Intimate Simple Traditional Wedding at the Grand Gimeno

December 12, 2022 Christine S. Chang

Not all weddings are flashy and big full of glitz and glamour. This couple originally were not planning on having an actual wedding at all but later decided to have a small intimate wedding with just family and a few close friends.

THE COUPLE:

SONYA + JEFFERY

THE VENUE

GRAND GIMENO

This couple had such a great vibe and intent that all the vendors wanted to do better to make it even greater them. Their love just seemed so pure!

Sonya and Jeffery focused on tradition and the people instead of all the other aesthetics of a wedding. They treated the vendors as guests as well and were very welcoming, allowing the vendors to eat a mean with the rest of the guests. Overall they were very focused on the people.

And to follow the Korean tradition, they did a Paebaek ceremony as well.

Surprise Birthday Proposal on Catalina Island

December 5, 2022 Christine S. Chang

Recently we had the pleasure of setting up a surprise proposal on Catalina Island. Everything looks and was picture perfect for the proposal but what led up to the proposal was insane!

The Couple:

Charley + Emily

The Location:

Zane Grey Hotel

This couple was actually already engaged but the groom to be wanted to do an official proposal and he watned to do it on the bride to be’s birthday celebration, which landed on a Tuesday. Our team took the ferry out on Monday night to Catalina Island with the florist to set up in time for early Tuesday morning arrival. One they arrived on the island…the storm starting coming in.

Early Tuesday morning, while our team was setting up for the surprise proposal, Christine receives a text from Charley saying their boat was cancelled. As they tried to find later boat schedules, the storm began to get worse so everything had to be moved and set up again indoors instead. And then another text later in the day, saying ALL boats were cancelled for that day.

All the decor had to be taken down and reset to try again on Wednesday. Luckily on Wednesday the storm cleared up and the weather was looking great. Everything was set up on the balcony as originally planned and ready to get this surprise proposal going. But of course, we find out that the photographer and the couple are on the same boat!

Charley and Christine worked together to rush the photographer to the hotel while delaying the couple a bit longer for the photographer to have time to set up. And after all this craziness, we had a successful surprise proposal.

A nasty storm, getting stuck on an island for two days, and having the photographer and couple on the same boat, cant stop us from helping two lovebirds get engaged properly. So overall, a total success!

Check out our behind the scene footage below!

A Luxe K-Drama Wedding Ceremony & C-Drama “Shanghai Nights” Lunar New Year Reception
about 6 days ago

A sparkling K-drama inspired ceremony bathed in golden hour light gave way to a Shanghai Nights reception straight out of Crazy Rich Asians. Crystal chandeliers shimmered above lush blooms, a Chinese apothecary escort wall honored tradition, and lion dancers welcomed guests into a haze-filled celebration of culture and class. From a custom dragon lantern shipped from China to a bespoke Hong Kong–inspired bar and Double Happiness wedding cake, every detail was an immersive tribute to heritage — perfectly timed for Lunar New Year.
