How To Make Babies Smile For Photoshoots

August 8, 2022 Christine S. Chang

Photoshoots can be a lot of pressure for anybody, especially babies! One of the biggest problem parents have during a photoshoot is trying to make their baby smile. Here are some of the top tips we’ve learned from our experiences to ensure your baby is all smiles…

tip #1: food food food!!

Nobody likes to do anything when we’re hungry. Make sure you baby has a full stomach before the photoshoot so they dont become hangry. If your baby gets hungry often or couldnt fit in a meal before the shoot, bring a snack or bottle to feed when they get cranky.

tip #2: bring a favorite toy

Babies find comfort with something familiar to them. To get their minds off the pressure of a photoshoot, bring a favorite toy or stuffed animal! You can bring out the toy, without getting it in the photos, for a quick smile or two.

tip #3: invite their favorite aunt, grandma, sister, uncle, etc.

Sometimes babies don’t need anything else, just their favorite person there for all the support. It can become a fun memorable experience for the whole family to have. And you can sneak in a few family shots as well.

** Bonus tip: a well rested baby is a happy baby

Make sure your baby is well rested before the photoshoot. Try to squeeze in a quick nap before or if your baby has a set nap schedule, schedule the photoshoot around your baby’s naps.

Here’s some of our happy babies because its a Monday and who doesn’t love babies!

3 Simple Tips To Nail Your Engagement Photos

August 1, 2022 Christine S. Chang

Engagement photos can be stressful for some couples but it doesn’t have to be! Its actually a great way to get to know your photographer before your actual wedding day. The engagement shoot can actually help you be more comfortable around your photographer as you get to know your photographer better. They’ll help you get your best angles and share some tips, including how to pose, so you’ll be prepared for your wedding day photos as well.

Here are 3 simple tips to get those perfect engagement photos:

Tip #1: Choose a nostalgic location your familiar and comfortable with

Engagement photos do not have to be traditional. Its to celebrate your new engagement to the person you love so a favorite nostalgic location is best. It will help you and your boo be more comfortable and natural being in a more familiar environment rather than someplace you’ve never been.

Tip #2: Go with neutral outfits

Neutral outfits are the easiest to wear so that you can shoot at multiple locations without worrying about contrasting or conflicting colors.

Tip #3: Still nervous about the photoshoot? Have a drink!

Yup, sometimes sipping on a cocktail just before the shoot will help you loosen up if you need. Its important to relax and have fun with your engagement shoot so you avoid that awkward school photo day smile for your engagement photos.
