Calvin's First Birthday Korean Dohl

Calvin is the third baby for parents Ashley and Roy. After 2 girls, they were happy to welcome their first baby boy to the family completing their perfect family of 5.

Calvin is the sweet one and has been the perfect baby so far. He’s super chill and listens to his older sisters very well even at the age of ONE.

A special part of this dohl was the doljabi. Doljabi is a Korean tradition where the baby is placed in front of various items. Then the baby is encouraged to grab 1 or 2 of these items or objects of their choice, which would symbolize the future of the baby’s lifestyle or career.

The doljabi set used for Calvin was the same set used for both his older sisters and now passed down and used for Calvin. Wonder if mom will be holding onto it longer for a 4th or 5th baby? lol. jk jk.

A Pretty In Pink Korean First Birthday Dohl

Christine was originally hired by Emma’s mom Carol, for both Emma’s 100 day Baekil photoshoot and Emma’s first birthday.

But later Carol decided to do a celebration instead of a styled shoot for Emma’s first birthday. With just 3 weeks to plan, Christine was able to create a perfect pink themed first birthday for Emma.

Working with a planner, especially for quick turn events, has its benefits regardless of the size of the event. Because of the relationships planners have with the vendors, its easier to get those last minute requests and needs taken care of.
