Paebaeks are a tradition of unification between families in the Korean culture, symbolizing the husbands family accepting the wife into theirs.

It was the perfect way for this couple, coming from different backgrounds, to celebrate their love.

MAUM + LLC: 2nd Annual Korean Liberation Festival

Last year we teamed up with MAUM to bring you our 1st Ever Korean Liberation Festival celebrating the Korean Independence day through an explosion of Korean culture through small business vendors, special guests and more! This year, we’re back to coproducing the 2nd Annual Korean Liberation Festival with MAUM again!

From food, to drinks (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic), performances, and shopping, we had tons of things to check out and do with your entire family!

Taking place agian on the largest rooftop in North America at TENTEN Downtown, this year it will be a 2 day festival of music, arts, food, drinks, entertainment, crafts and more to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Korean Liberation Day.

24HR Mini Mart...At A Wedding!

No, you did NOT read that title wrong. Yes! we DID set up a 24 hour pyeon-e-jum (aka mini mart) at a wedding and it was beyond awesome!

In Korea, pyeon-e-jums are a great place to grab some late night snacks or a quick bite and its a nostalgic thing for most Koreans of the 90s and older! Our couple wanted to incorporate this cultural nostalgia into their wedding, so we created a 24 hr mini mart called ILY (ㅅㄹㅎ) which is short for ‘Sa Rang Hae’ meaning, ‘I Love You’.

Everything was custom built for this set up including the kiwa trimmings, stands and signs. Filled to brim with traditional Korean snacks, cup ramen and even hair products, guest were given each a paper bag and to ‘shop’ to their hearts content during the reception hour.

And once dinner service was over, our mini mart was transformed into a romantic desserts bar!

We loved this project and love the double use of it even more!
