24HR Mini Mart...At A Wedding!

No, you did NOT read that title wrong. Yes! we DID set up a 24 hour pyeon-e-jum (aka mini mart) at a wedding and it was beyond awesome!

In Korea, pyeon-e-jums are a great place to grab some late night snacks or a quick bite and its a nostalgic thing for most Koreans of the 90s and older! Our couple wanted to incorporate this cultural nostalgia into their wedding, so we created a 24 hr mini mart called ILY (ㅅㄹㅎ) which is short for ‘Sa Rang Hae’ meaning, ‘I Love You’.

Everything was custom built for this set up including the kiwa trimmings, stands and signs. Filled to brim with traditional Korean snacks, cup ramen and even hair products, guest were given each a paper bag and to ‘shop’ to their hearts content during the reception hour.

And once dinner service was over, our mini mart was transformed into a romantic desserts bar!

We loved this project and love the double use of it even more!
