Getting Engaged During The Holidays

It’s easy to feel like love is in the air during the holiday season—because it is! Whether it be the ample amount of holiday spirit, the sales on engagement rings, or the togetherness of family and friends, it’s no secret that couples like getting engaged over the holidays. So why is this time of year typically known as “Proposal Season”? Well, there's quite a few perks to getting engaged during the holidays!

While typically the holidays would bring everyone together, this year is looking a little bit different. To keep everyone safe, socially distanced holidays are the new normal. Instead of what would normally be a large gathering filled with hugs and laughs, FaceTime is our new best friend. Even though families cannot all be physically together this year, there is still so much joy in being virtually connected. An engagement would certainly brighten up the season! When it is safe to do so, everyone can come together and celebrate.

Engagement rings are never really cheap, but getting engaged during the holiday season can be slightly easier on the wallet. Jewelers are eager to get in on the proposal season action, you may find yourself a great deal if you look around. While some of these deals might look enticing, ensure that you’re finding a ring that fits your specifications—and not getting suckered into a deal because it was simply “on sale.”

There’s a certain romance in the air during the holidays, as it is typically a time to disconnect from the business of the world around us to focus on quality time with family, friends, and your partner. With all the wonderful memories that come along with this time of year - why not add a wonderful engagement to it!

Carats & Cake breaks down all the details on the wedding, helping newly engaged couples pick who they want to hire. From the florist, photographer, and of course, planner, they are a great resource for those who are starting to plan their dream wedding.

The Benefits of Working With an Associate Wedding Planner

As a to-be-wed, you might already be familiar with the idea of working with a professional wedding planner, but what about an associate wedding planner? Hiring an associate planner can often give you the best of both worlds - a fresh new outlook on the event space all while being guided by an experienced principle planner.

So what exactly IS an associate wedding planner? They are simply members of the team who are looking to grow their knowledge and experience in the event industry. Associate wedding planners are there to learn the ins and outs of planning under the guidance of the principle planner - essentially a 'two brains are better than one' scenario! Ideas can be bounced off of each other, and new concepts can be brought to the table.

While a lot of people may overlook working with the new faces of our industry, there are some great pros. When working with an associate event planner, they are under the instruction of the principle planner. This is a huge plus because not one detail will go unnoticed or overlooked, due to the nature of this being a learning process for the associate. During this time, it is incredibly important that associates are learning how to comfortably execute these events with ease and confidence. You can expect everything to be double (or even triple!) checked as they navigate the world of wedding and event planning.

Our associate planners are ready to embark on the journey of helping you create your dream wedding or special event. When working with one of our associate planners, everything will be overseen by our principle planner, Christine Chang.
