Weddings & Inflation Today - How It Affects Your Wedding Costs
Recently our founder and CEO Christine Chang, had the opportunity to appear on a Fox44 news segment, to share how recent inflations across the nation have and will continue to affect weddings.
While most couples planning their wedding might think the inflation would only affect their cost of the venue space and catering, Christine shared a few more things that you may not notice will impact your wedding costs due to inflation. Here are a few things to look out for when planning your wedding during inflation:
TRAVEL FEE - With gas prices going up to a record high all across the nation, many vendors will now charge a travel cost depending on where your wedding will be held at. Keep in mind that even if your wedding is in the same state or even across town, there may be a added travel fee on your invoice.
LABOR COSTS - Finding workers has been more difficult during inflation. So much that some vendors may charge double the labor cost in order to have those workers available for your wedding.
SHORTAGE OF SUPPLES - Due to the lack of supply chain, many of the costs of all goods have increased. This can include your cost of flowers, desserts, decorations and much more.
Even if your wedding date is not for another year or so, the cost of inflation can be affecting your budget now when your booking things now. Its always best to have a wedding planner who can address these issues and help you along the way to plan a wedding within your budget especially during inflation.
