SXSW - Part 2: DEAR ASIAN AMERICANS NIGHT MARKET
So much happened at SXSW (South by South West) this year, that we need are covering it in two blog posts! Part 1 covered the first 2 days of SXSW event, so lets jump right into day 3!
DAY 3: DEAR ASIAN AMERICANS NIGHT MARKET
On day 3, we partnered with Dear Asian Americans, Toyota USA, Panda Express and more, to host an Asian American night market. And in honor of Womens’ month, we invited 16 various Asian American womens’ businesses to sell their products at our night market.
For music, we had an Asian American female DJ who played all Asian music the entire night.
With over 800 people attending, to say the night market was a success was a huge understatement! It gave us hope to host an Asian night market again and hopefully do this on an annual basis.
We’re excited to work with more Asian Americans to bring more successful Asian night markets to more cities all across the US.
